Grenada Inland Revenue Division

The Inland Revenue Division (IRD) is a division within the Ministry of Finance (MoF). It is responsible for the administration of Inland Revenue laws and the collection of a wide range of taxes and licenses. These include:

  • Assessment and collection of personal income, corporate, general consumption, stamp and other taxes
  • Collection of fees for vehicle, telecommunication, and other licences and registration
  • Registration of businesses for tax purposes
  • Valuation and assessment of properties
  • Assessment of the property transfer tax

  Late Filing of Tax Return
56.-(1) A taxpayer who fails to file a tax return on or before the date on which it is due is liable to pay a late fee equal to the greater of-
(a) five percent (5%) of the amount of tax owing, plus a further one percent (1%) of the amount of tax owing for each month or part of a month during which the failure to file continues; and
(b) five hundred dollars ($500), plus a further one hundred dollars ($100) for each month or part of a month during which the failure to file continues.
