ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, Monday, January 11, 2016: The Ministry of Economic Development, Planning, Trade, Cooperatives and International Business is pleased to announce its National Buy Local and Made in Grenada Campaign which officially starts today (January 11th, 2016).
The entire population is being urged to support the local manufacturers by buying local products and services.
As part of the build up to this initiative, a meeting was held with local manufacturers to chart the way forward and to finalize the details of the programme.
The Campaign runs from January 11th to March 27th, 2016. This campaign is intended to bring many benefits to the Manufacturing sector of Grenada while at the same time, increase appreciation and awareness of the local industry.
A main component of the Campaign will be a Buy-Local Week which is carded for the week of February 1st – 7th, 2016. The Buy-Local Week will culminate with a Made in Grenada Expo at the Grenada National Stadium from 9:00am to 7:00pm on February 7th, 2016.
Manufacturers wishing to exhibit at the Expo are asked to register with the Ministry of Trade at the Financial Complex at the Carenage.
All Grenadians are urged to support local as we promote what is made in Grenada.
